Hand Thrown Yarn Bowl - No. 15

THIS IS A SECONDS ITEM!!  Price has been reduced due to a couple of imperfections that occurred when firing.

This is a yarn bowl that has been thrown and carved by myself in a high-fire white stoneware clay.

The glaze is clear over a variety of blue and grey polka dots!  There are 2 holes for your knitting needles or crochet hooks, and the obligatory opening for your working yarn.

The weight of this bowl is 900 grams, height 8.5cm and width 17.5cm.  It will easily fit a large ball of yarn in it  (the skein of yarn pictured is 100 grams and not included).   The bottom of the bowl has been left slightly heavy to help with stabilization when using it.

The imperfections which have rendered the bowl a second, but still totally usable (and cute!) are a couple of bubbles in the clay that have occurred during the high firing process, as well as a small crack on the bottom (underside) of the bowl.  A photo of the crack can be seen in the last photo.

Please be aware that this is a hand made item and, as I am a novice potter, it is not perfect but completely unique and still made with love and joy!

Please note – Whilst Pickle and Co Fibres has made a concentrated effort to accurately reflect the colour of the yarn on offer via photography and description, there still may be some minor variability with colours between computer monitors and individual perception.
