Hand Thrown Yarn Bowl - No. 2

This is a yarn bowl that has been thrown and carved by myself in a buff, textured, speckled midfire clay.

The glaze is a blend of glossy black overlaid with a satin white, which has resulted in beautiful colour splitting that is almost metallic in parts.  There are 3 holes for knitting needles or crochet hooks, and the obligatory opening for your working yarn, carved into a start shape.

The weight of this bowl is 1.23kg, height 10cm and width 19cm.  It will easily fit a large ball of yarn in it  (the skein of yarn pictured is 100 grams and not included).   The bottom of the bowl has been left slightly heavy to help with stabilization when using it.

Please be aware that this is a hand made item and, as I am a novice potter, it is not perfect but completely unique and still made with love and joy!

There has been an additional cost added to the price of the bowl to cover postage requirements.  If you are picking up locally, this will be omitted.

Please note – Whilst Pickle and Co Fibres has made a concentrated effort to accurately reflect the colour of the yarn on offer via photography and description, there still may be some minor variability with colours between computer monitors and individual perception.
